Learn about...
the Lakeside Neighborhood Association
The sign at Addison and Lakeshore Drive reads “Lakeside Welcomes You.” That speaks volumes to all who see it. We are a quaint, unique part of Muskegon, located on the western end of the city. Our boundaries are at Addison Street to the Muskegon Country Club, then Sherman Blvd. to Lakeshore Drive, only a short drive to Lake Michigan; both are on the north side of Muskegon Lake.
The bike path, which goes through Lakeside, is a beautiful way to enjoy the wonders of nature along Muskegon Lake.
We recently renovated the Grand Trunk Car Ferry Dock, bordered on Muskegon Lake. It can be your favorite spot to view the lake and the wildlife that abounds there. The “Peace Garden” and all the new plantings there have made it even more inviting.
Our shopping district has several very unique shops, selling hand-crafted jewelry and pottery, homemade fudge and old-time candy as well as the usual items appealing to visitors and tourists. So, on your drive to Lake Michigan, stop by and explore Lakeside. It is truly a wonderful addition to your City.
Neighborhood Meetings
Our meetings are held September through April, on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at Bunker School at 7pm. We do not have meetings during the other months of the year. Join us for coffee, meet your neighbors and learn what’s going on in Lakeside and the City of Muskegon.
